" thick or in a standard envelope larger than 6" x 9".
Many multi-page documents when folded to a #10 envelope incur a $0.20 surcharge because they are more than ¼" thick. If you don't include the surcharge your
mail could be returned and delayed. The postage on a 3-ounce piece is $0.96 ($0.76 first class letter postage + $0.20 surcharge). If you mail the document without
folding, in a 9"x 12" envelope, you jump out of the thickness surcharge frying pan into the first class large envelope fire of $1.17 postage. With our 6"x 9"
envelopes you can fold the document once and pay only $0.76 first class letter postage, saving the $0.20 thickness surcharge or the $0.41 extra for large envelopes.
If you mail 10 documents a day you'll save $2.00$4.10 every day. That's $500.00$1025.00 per year! Now that's a good reason to start using our 6"x 9" envelopes.
